We were always at the forefront of safe, sterile practices for our patients. After a long, strange spring season focused on keeping our families and yours safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we reopened our office on June 1, 2020. At that time and ongoing, we’re leading the way with the most advanced and strictest guidance in sterilization and patient management processes to allow us to get back to taking care of you and your smiles.
Leading Sterilization Practices
When you come to us for preventative and emergency care, rest assured we are taking every precaution required and recommended as best practices to keep our environment sterile, safe, and sound, including:
Prioritizing the most critical dental services and providing care in a way that minimizes harm to patients from delaying care and harm to personnel from potential exposure to COVID-19.
For the time being, we continue to postpone cosmetic procedures.
Eliminating the use of our reception area, and instead:
Upon confirmation of an appointment, we will issue a questionnaire to confirm the patient has no COVID symptoms
Upon arrival, patients will text the front desk and wait in the car until the dental chair is ready for them so we can seat them immediately.
We will use a tablet for all paperwork, and the tablet will be sanitized between uses.
Sanitizing equipment, surfaces, and our hands constantly, as always.
Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) to every extent possible. That means patients will wear face coverings when not receiving treatment, and all staff members wear clean face coverings, protective eyewear, and gloves for each patient, as always.
Decreasing the use of aerosols (defined by the CDC as “a suspension of tiny particles or droplets in the air, such as dust, mists, or fumes”). That means:
Abandoning the use of Ultrasonic procedures at this time
Increasing the use of suction devices to minimize droplet spatter and aerosols
Using air purifiers
Learn more about aerosols on our websiteFollowing CDC Guidance for Dental Care Facilities During COVID-19 Pandemic.
We will treat pain, broken teeth, and infections as a level-one priority when booking new appointments. We also encourage you to keep/book your regular cleanings and checkups. As always, please maintain your ongoing at-home oral health practice, brushing, and flossing regularly.
Please contact us to confirm or book your appointments and help us all stay safe by joining us in following the appropriate safety precautions, outlined above.
And last but not least, remember to smile, even in a pandemic!
Everyone was wonderful! I called for an emergency toothache visit. I was able to be worked in same-day. The procedure was painless, and I had no pain afterwards. What an excellent job!
I am so happy to have found this practice. Dr. Patel is super friendly and very efficient. I felt very welcome and was happy they had different payment options since I don't have insurance. Will definitely refer people to them.
A group of amazing people that do amazing work…. They are caring, compassionate, and focus on how to get your smile back to where it was/should be instead of how it got to where it is. You will be EXTREMELY hard-pressed to find another practice like Romeoville Dental Center.
