February Activities Get Everyone Talking
There’s a lot to look forward to in February! Who will be your Valentine? Will the Groundhog see his shadow? The shortest month is full of fun holidays. Our favorite by far is the last of the month: National Tooth Fairy Day on February 28! It’s also a month full of focus on important things, great and small, from Black History Month to National Children’s Dental Health Month! That’s our cue. All of our patients are our Valentines, so we thought we’d combine fun and learning to help kick off the month.
Ready for Our Close Up
Usually, we love getting out in the community to spread the love about preventative dental health. This year, that’s taken on a new meaning. We’re planning some interactive Zoom sessions during February with local elementary school classes to help kids learn best practices for taking care of their teeth and gums. We can’t wait to see those smiles on the screen.
Envision a Healthy Smile: Infographic Full of Dental Health Tips & Tidbits
Instead of candy hearts for Valentine’s Day, we’re sending this fun infographic. When it comes to children’s dental health awareness, the main thing to know is that it spans the entire childhood from about six months throughout the teenage years. There are three key age groups to consider:
- Pre-K: Ages 6 months to 6 years
- Elementary: Ages 6-12 years
- Teenagers: Ages 12-19 years
Each segment has its own concerns and best practices, and this infographic has something for everyone.
